Have you ever watch a movie? Yeah, I thought so.
The TCL Chinese Theatre in Hollywood is the most iconic movie theater in the world. All the major movie premieres, handprint/footprint ceremonies and film festivals take place there and as of 2017, it's a massive home for esports and gaming too!
Back in November 2017, we tore out one of our six movie theaters and built a state of the art 4D motion and special effects theater specifically for gaming. With twelve insane gaming stations built across the stage, this theater is equipped to host any type of tournament; large or small. 6v6, 3v3, 1v1. All the action goes down here. We've got chairs that move, blow wind, rumble, poke your back, spray air, water, various scents, smoke machines, leg ticklers, and tons more that you'll just have to see for yourself! If you're ever in the LA area, please come check it out. Our events are unlike any other in the world because this is the only venue of it's kind in the world.
Hollywood Esports is the company that runs all of this. It provides a world-renowned venue and experience for gamers to come meet their favorite streamers, watch tournaments or just come chill at events like our Tuesday Night Smash Nights.
I joined the Hollywood Esports team back during its inception in 2017 before the theatre was even built and I rejoined later on in 2019. Currently I help run everything at Hollywood Esports alongside TCL Chinese Theatre Owner and Hollywood Esports CEO, Robert (Bob) Laity.
We've put on some insane events so far such as the 2016 Vainglory World Championship, 2018 Arena of Valor World Championship and FaZe Clan Celebrity Pro-Am where we had Lil Yachty, Offset, Borgore and Slim Jxmmi come through to play the new Modern Warfare!
